EMP Remix - Pre Remix

For my remix I chose to do Hoops by The Rubens, now this was not my initial plan but I am in some ways glad that it turned out the way it did. The artist I have chosen to take inspiration from is Snarky Puppy specifically the solo in their song Lingus performed by Corey Henry. The speed of the original isn't fast but it is quite boppy so for my remix I decided to make it a very “lazy” song. basically I wanted to slow it down almost to a lounge vibe/Slow dance idea. The elements I wish to take from Corey Henry’s solo in Lingus is the way he changes his sound as he is soloing, I am most likely going to use a LPF to achieve this sound. It should be an interesting project as I am still new to Abelton and feel as though I am only scratching the surface of the program and my ability to use it.
